Sometimes life gives you a pinch-me moment, and this past trip to the Andaz Papagayo and the Four Seasons tennis courts was exactly that. From the first hello with scented lemon grass cold towels to the final room-service dining experience, everything felt touched with a little extra magic. ✨

The Stay

The Andaz greeted us with their signature Costa Rican warmth. Every corner of the resort felt infused with design inspired by nature, breezy spaces, ocean views, and details that made us feel both pampered and at home. Even Zuma got the VIP treatment: a personalized bed and a toy (which she happily destroyed in about five minutes 🐾😂).

Food With a View

One of our favorite parts? The food. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and so beautifully presented. From tropical fruits and pancakes to local Costa Rican specialties, we found ourselves lingering over each bite. Many meals were enjoyed right on our deck, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the relaxing view of the ocean. 🌴🍍🌊

The Beaches & Adventure

We explored the private beach tucked away at the resort, a quiet little paradise where the sand was soft and the water inviting. One afternoon we grabbed snorkels and went exploring, where to our delight, we spotted a graceful turtle gliding by. 🐢 A reminder of just how alive and magical these waters are.

Tennis Dreams at the Four Seasons

Of course, the highlight for us was teaching lessons on the Four Seasons tennis court. Playing and coaching in such a breathtaking setting felt like the culmination of so many dreams. The court itself, framed by lush greenery, was unlike anywhere else we’ve ever coached.

• The Papagayo Peninsula is home to some of the most biodiverse waters in Costa Rica, making it a world-class spot for snorkeling and diving.

• The name Papagayo actually means “parrot” in Spanish, and if you’re lucky, you can spot colorful parrots flying overhead at sunrise.

• The peninsula is known for its mix of dry tropical forest and ocean views, a rare ecosystem that only exists in a few parts of the world.
